Experience:
Mr. Miers joined the staff of Richard H. Miers CPA in 1986 as an entry level administrative staff member. Over the next six years, he worked his way up in the firm to staff accountant, audit associate, senior auditor, and manager. In 1992, he became a licensed CPA and became a partner in Miers & Miers CPAs. In 2006 he became the managing partner.
His experience includes business advisory services, auditing of local government and non-profit organizations, financial advisory services, tax compliance services, international tax compliance services, estate and trust planning, trust administration, business valuation, expert witness services, forensic accounting, litigation support, lottery advisory services, family law arbitration, and marketing.
Mr. Miers has a long history of community support which includes financial and volunteer work for numerous charitable and professional organizations. He has served on the California Society of Certified Public Accountants Public Relation Committee, as the president of the Barstow Chamber of Commerce, executive board of the National Training Center Chapter of the Association of the United States Army, served 4 terms on the Barstow Community College Board, and was recognized as the Man of the Year in 1996

He also is the president of the Veterans Home Support Foundation and serves on the Board of the Boys and Girls Club of Barstow.
Interests:
He enjoys international travel, remodeling projects for friends and family, and is a long time competitive golfer.
Laurel Jordan, CPA - Partner

Experience:
Mrs. Jordan began her accounting career in February of 1986 as a staff auditor. In July of 1998, Mrs. Jordan joined the staff of Miers & Miers CPAs, LLP. Along with extensive experience in individual and business tax preparation, she has performed various auditing functions for governmental clients, nonprofit organizations, and public companies.
